Majority of ride on Exmoor moorland, with some bridleways, tracks, fields and small amount of roadwork in between.

The route is made up of grassy tracks, undulating Nature Reserve with grassy downland, bridleways are mostly grassy but some are stoney, some roadwork through picturesque villages.
Classes from 162km 2 day competetive to 12km Pleasure Ride
The Ride will as usual be centred on Cirencester Park and quite a large part will be contained within it. We are however looking at earlier routes which extended beyond the Park boundaries, with the aim of reducing the number of repetitive loops. This work is in progress and as soon as viable routes are identified they will be published on the website. The character of the ride will wherever possible be maintained with bridleways and private tracks still forming the core of the Ride. Tarmac %: minimal

Wednesdays/Thursday’s route flat, quiet lanes and bridleways Friday/Saturday/Sunday, rolling bridleways, quiet lanes with excellent verges and private tracks.

Fabulous venue located on the Barbury Castle Estate including Barbury International Event Course and Point to Point Course. Minimal road work with excellent going over down land, fields and tracks. Estimated % of roadwork:
Classes from 16Km Pleasure to 80Km (2 Day)
Good going on field margins, across grassland, with a few bridleways. Some roadwork on quiet roads. Further details will be placed on the website
Varied going, incorporating private land, Toll ride route, bridleways, green lanes, quiet roads with rideable verges, and an occasional village. Distances under 30km have virtually no roadwork. Some water available on most routes. The 41km route starts and finishes on Stapleford TROT and incorporates bridleways, green lanes, and private tracks. There is a total of 3 to 4 kms of roadwork on quiet country lanes. There is 1 stewarded railway crossing on the 30km & 41km route, and a ford on the 41km route. Estimated % of tarmac: Varies depending on class 2 - 10%
Classes from 9Km Pleasure to 126Km (2 Day)
The route is grass and heather on rolling plateaux with a couple of serious hills. Fast going and wonderful views for those with time to admire. Estimated % of tarmac : Some on all routes but mostly on the 27km PR route.

Our PerfEQ Stainless Steel S Hackamore nose is supplied complete with lightweight Stainless steel S shaped Irons. The adjustable nose band has a soft PVC Foam waffle lining and Biothane strapping back.
Available in solid, neon or BETA biothane colours the nose is supplied with adjustable curb strap. Ideal for adding to a standard or a PerfEQ Padded Brow C bit bridle.
Supplied with Stainless steel fittings as standard to match the S Hackamore Irons. However Brass fittings can be supplied on request.
Manufactured from soft 10mm diameter polypropylene rope our Basics Rope Halters have strategically placed knots to apply the right amount of pressure when required.
Available in one size to fit Large Cob/Arab (over 15hh) and Full sized Horses.

Manufactured from 16mm Biothane and available in a range of up to 35 colours and finishes, our Cross Under bridle provides a gentler alternative to traditional bitted bridles.
Ideal for use on horses that have issues with bits, the Cross Under bridle provides positive head control by the use of the two independent, free moving cross under straps allowing the horses' head to stay upright and turning/stopping more natural.
The bridle has a padded brow and nose band, adjustable cross under ring straps and nose band straps.
Available with either Stainless Steel or Brass fittings and in sizes from Shetland to Extra Full

Manufactured from durable, easy to clean, 16mm wide Biothane belting, with soft PVC foam waffle weave padded brow and nose band, the Performance Equestrian S Hac, Hackamore bridle is a break from the conventional style of Hackamore. With this bridle the “irons” are made from polished Stainless Steel making them both lighter and less prone to tarnish than conventional Brass or Steel. With the unique S design of the hackamore irons, the rider can apply control and pressure over a more concentrated area due to the compact size and shortness of the hackamore. Manufactured by Zilco this separate Flower Hackamore nose is supplied complete with Stainless Steel irons. The nose band has a soft PVC Foam waffle lining and black sealed webbing backing. One of the advantages of the Flower Hackamore (also known as a Bubble Hackamore) is that both the padded nose and the curb straps can be moves to allow for an increase or decrease in the pressure applied to the nose.
